The Book of Acts is one of the most important historical books for understanding the foundations of our faith in Messiah Yeshua and yet it has been largely neglected in Christianity. Much of the confusion of who we are as believers in the Messiah comes from a lack of understanding of the context of the first century writings. In this series, Rico will bring to light the Book of Acts in its original Hebraic perspective in order to shed some much needed light on areas that have traditionally caused conflict due to varying opinions as to the meanings.
In part 1, Rico will cover Acts chapters one and two. In chapter one, we will look at the evidence to see to whom exactly the Book of Acts was written. We will also study out what it means for Yeshua to restore the kingdom to Israel and why the disciples expected Yeshua to restore it after his resurrection. In chapter two we will take an in depth look into the Temple service ritual associated with bringing first fruits offerings to the Temple on Shavuot (Pentacost). Additionally we will go into the prayers that were prayed during the service, the audience in attendance at the outpouring of the Ruach, and the amazing events that occurred during this particular Shavuot. I pray that the teaching will help you know the amazing significance of the day of Shavuot.
