Have you ever wondered why certain things in the Scriptures just do not make sense? There is much of Scriptural meaning that is hidden to us because we are removed from the culture and the customs of the ancient Near East; the times of ancient Israel. In this series, we will go in depth into the cultures of the nations surrounding ancient Israel in order to gain proper context of most of the stories in the Torah and the rest of the Tanakh. We will study the ancient political language of the times, especially covenant languages in order to gain a better understanding of Suzerainty Treaties and Royal Grants.
