This teaching lays the foundation for interpreting numbers in Scripture based on the pattern in Genesis One. For the last one hundred years, EW Bullinger, in his book “Number in Scripture,” has been the go-to-guy for interpreting numbers, but he missed something very important. To interpret the meaning of numbers, we must examine the culture and context of the ANE world, instead of the Age of Enlightenment from which Bullinger drew his connections.
